The campsite itself is handily located on the road that slaloms down towards the village from the mountain pass. Go past the first field by the reception as the views are better from the ‘overflow' field and there are no caravans there. Both fields are relatively flat with soft ground to pitch on, and occupy great positions overlooking Applecross Bay. An essential deer fence may detract from the view slightly. From here you will get some of the finest views you will ever see of Scotland's largest island, Skye, with its world-famous and unmistakable Cuillin Mountains. The site does have a few static caravans, a Bed &Breakfast establishment and 11 camping huts (eight wishbones kabins and two wigwams) to go along with the space for 60 tents but, aside from the height of summer, it doesn't usually get too crowded.
