Beyond the View
Photographer Jack Marris moved to Applecross in 2012 and opened the Applecross Photographic Gallery in 2015. Set up in a disused Telephone Exchange with Panoramic views of Raasay, Scalpay and the Cuillin of Skye, Applecross Photographic Gallery exhibits a selection of local images by Jack Marris.

"As a landscape photographer I want to put you in the scene and capture the view the way we see it ourselves. Because we often see very differently to how a camera captures a scene, this can often mean using specialist equipment and techniques."

"I hike up the mountains with a big pack, which means I have enough equipment to camp out overnight on the summits and ridges. This means I am there for sunset and sunrise which in my opinion are the best times for photography."

We are open 7 days in summer from 9am - 5pm and offer free freshly ground coffee while you browse. Please check locally for winter opening hours or contact below.
